NanoXperts Certified Surface Protection Specialist

Effective Date: August 3, 2026

1Purpose

These Certification Terms govern eligibility, assessment, issuance, use, verification, suspension, and revocation of the NanoXperts Certified Surface Protection Specialist professional certification.

2Certification Provider

The certification is administered by NanoXperts Academy by Shinykings Inc.

3Nature of Certification

NanoXperts certification recognizes that an individual has satisfied the Academy’s stated educational and assessment requirements.

Certification:

  • Is an independently issued private professional certification.
  • Is not a government license.
  • Is not government accreditation.
  • Does not replace licenses, permits, insurance, or legally required training.
  • Does not guarantee competency for every product, surface, application, or project.
  • Does not guarantee employment, income, customers, or project results.

4Eligibility

To qualify, a candidate must:

  • Complete the required NanoXperts Academy education, unless equivalent eligibility is expressly approved in writing.
  • Review and accept applicable Academy policies.
  • Complete the examination personally.
  • Achieve the required passing result.
  • Provide accurate identity and registration information.
  • Comply with academic-integrity requirements.
  • Pay applicable fees.

NanoXperts may modify eligibility requirements prospectively.

5Examination

The certification assessment may include:

  • Multiple-choice questions.
  • Scenario-based questions.
  • Surface identification.
  • Scientific principles.
  • Preparation and application concepts.
  • Inspection and troubleshooting.
  • Professional and ethical standards.

Examination structure, question count, time limits, attempt limits, passing requirements, and retake rules may be displayed within the Academy platform.

NanoXperts may update questions and examination standards to preserve relevance and integrity.

6Examination Integrity

Candidates must complete the assessment independently.

Candidates may not:

  • Receive unauthorized assistance.
  • Have another person complete the assessment.
  • Copy, photograph, record, reproduce, or distribute questions.
  • Share answers.
  • Publish examination content.
  • Use unauthorized accounts or identities.
  • Circumvent assessment controls.
  • Misrepresent eligibility or results.
  • Attempt to manipulate the platform.

Violations may result in failed results, account termination, disqualification, suspension, revocation, or permanent ineligibility without refund.

7Passing and Retakes

Certification is issued only after the applicable passing standard is met.

Where retakes are permitted:

  • A waiting period may apply.
  • Additional fees may apply.
  • A different version of the examination may be used.
  • Repeated attempts may be limited.

NanoXperts may investigate unusual assessment behavior before issuing a certificate.

8Certificate Issuance

Successful candidates may receive:

  • The professional designation.
  • A digital certification certificate.
  • A certificate identification number.
  • A verification record.
  • A digital badge, where available.

The certificate remains subject to these Terms even after issuance.

9Proper Use

A certified individual may accurately use NanoXperts Certified Surface Protection Specialist in professional biographies, websites, proposals, resumes, social profiles, email signatures, and lawful marketing materials.

Use must:

  • Identify the certified individual.
  • Be truthful and not misleading.
  • Follow current branding guidelines.
  • Avoid suggesting government licensing or accreditation.
  • Avoid implying that every project or service is approved by NanoXperts.
  • Stop immediately if certification is suspended, expired, or revoked.

10Company Use

Certification is awarded to an individual, not automatically to a business.

A company may state: “Our team includes a NanoXperts Certified Surface Protection Specialist.”

A company may not state: “Our company is NanoXperts Certified” unless NanoXperts has created and awarded a separate company-level certification.

A certified person may not lend the certification to another individual or company.

11Certification Marks and Badges

Certification logos, badges, QR codes, and marks remain the property of Shinykings Inc.

Certified individuals receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use authorized marks while certification is active and in good standing.

Marks may not be:

  • Altered.
  • Recolored without permission.
  • Combined with misleading claims.
  • Transferred.
  • Sold.
  • Used after suspension or revocation.
  • Used to certify products, companies, or third parties.

12Public Verification

Certification information may be displayed through a verification tool or Network profile, including:

  • Certified individual’s name.
  • Certification title.
  • Certificate identification number.
  • Issue date.
  • Current status.
  • Relevant expiration or renewal date, if applicable.

By accepting certification, the candidate authorizes publication of this limited verification information.

13Professional Conduct

Certified individuals are expected to:

  • Communicate honestly.
  • Avoid misleading performance promises.
  • Evaluate surfaces before recommending treatment.
  • Follow applicable safety requirements.
  • Follow current manufacturer instructions.
  • Respect customer property.
  • Comply with law.
  • Maintain accurate certification representations.
  • Avoid conduct that materially undermines public trust in the certification.

Certification does not make NanoXperts responsible for a certified person’s services.

14Complaints and Investigations

NanoXperts may receive and investigate complaints regarding:

  • Fraud.
  • Certification misuse.
  • Examination misconduct.
  • Misrepresentation.
  • Unsafe or unlawful conduct.
  • Serious ethical violations.

NanoXperts may request documents or a response from the certified individual.

Failure to cooperate may be considered when determining status.

NanoXperts does not adjudicate ordinary workmanship, billing, contract, or warranty disputes between providers and customers, although relevant conduct may be considered where it affects certification integrity.

15Suspension and Revocation

Certification may be suspended or revoked for:

  • Fraudulent eligibility information.
  • Examination dishonesty.
  • Unauthorized sharing of examination content.
  • Misrepresentation of certification.
  • Badge or certificate misuse.
  • Serious violations of Academy policies.
  • Conduct materially inconsistent with professional standards.
  • Failure to satisfy future renewal requirements, if applicable.
  • Failure to pay required renewal fees, if applicable.
  • Legal restrictions preventing lawful professional activity.
  • Refusal to stop misleading use.

A suspended or revoked individual must immediately stop using the title, certificate, badge, and verification materials.

16Appeals

An individual may submit a written appeal within 30 days of a suspension or revocation notice.

The appeal must include:

  • Name.
  • Certificate number.
  • Decision challenged.
  • Relevant facts.
  • Supporting documents.

Appeals must be emailed to info@nanoxperts.com.

NanoXperts will review the appeal in good faith. The resulting decision is final unless applicable law requires otherwise.

17Renewal and Continuing Education

Unless a renewal period is expressly displayed, a certificate is issued without a stated expiration date.

NanoXperts may introduce future renewal, continuing-education, recertification, or professional-development requirements. New requirements will apply prospectively and will be communicated before taking effect.

Fraud, misconduct, or misuse may still result in suspension or revocation regardless of whether a certificate has an expiration date.

18Changes to the Program

NanoXperts may modify:

  • Educational prerequisites.
  • Examination content.
  • Passing standards.
  • Retake rules.
  • Credential names.
  • Verification features.
  • Badge designs.
  • Renewal requirements.
  • Professional standards.

Changes will not retroactively invalidate properly earned certification except where required to address fraud, misconduct, legal requirements, or certification integrity.

19Fees and Refunds

Certification fees and applicable refund rules are shown at purchase.

No refund is owed after:

  • The assessment has been substantially accessed.
  • An attempt has been submitted.
  • Certification has been issued.
  • Access has been terminated for misconduct.

Any broader refund rights required by law remain unaffected.

20Limitation of Meaning

Certification represents successful completion of NanoXperts requirements at the time of assessment.

It is not a warranty of:

  • Workmanship.
  • Product performance.
  • Business conduct.
  • Insurance.
  • Licensing.
  • Financial stability.
  • Customer satisfaction.
  • Fitness for a specific project.

Customers remain responsible for evaluating and contracting with providers.
