Raising the Standard of Surface Protection

NanoXperts exists to make surface protection a discipline rather than a product category.

We are not a manufacturer and not an installer. We educate, certify and connect.

The problem

Product-backward thinking

Surface protection is usually approached product-backward. A coating is chosen first, and the surface is then treated as though it were whatever that coating is designed for. When the result fails, the surface is blamed.

The consequences are familiar across the industry: sealers applied to slabs still passing moisture, impregnators sold as protection against acid etching, film-forming products applied over incompatible finishes, and customers left with damage that was created by the protection itself.

Our approach

Start with the surface

NanoXperts takes the opposite approach. Start with the surface. Understand its condition. Determine what it actually needs. Only then select an appropriate protection strategy — including, at times, the conclusion that no treatment should be applied.

That sequence is the basis of everything we teach, everything we examine and every professional standard we hold Network participants to.

Independence

Manufacturer-neutral by design

NanoXperts does not manufacture, distribute or sell coatings, and does not perform installation work. Our education is not written around one company's product line, and certification cannot be obtained through purchasing.

Independence is what makes the designation meaningful. A certification issued by a manufacturer certifies familiarity with that manufacturer's products; a certification issued by an independent institute certifies understanding of surfaces.

Certification is held by individuals. A company may employ certified specialists, but a company can never itself be NanoXperts Certified.
